my field

is filled with golden wheat stalks. I'm standing atop the hill, alone. It's hot but there's a nice breeze and I can smell the ocean.  I'm free and it feels nice. This is what I need.

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there." - Rumi

  1. High atop the mountain where the world seems but a sliver in your boot, and the stars reach out to you as if to strike a ladder to the heavens. This place, this is where I want to take you... but the mountain is not, after all, what it appears... it is but a small terrace reaching out from a house built on love, our home. The smell of fresh and aged ink rises from the library inside, along with the crackling of wood in the fireplace. This is where I want to meet you.

  3. I don't recall hearing it in a movie. I think I'd read it in a book about Rumi.
